CIX is a five member boy group from C9 entertainment. Debuting in 2019, they have released five EP’s, and two full albums. The group consists of BX;leader and main rapper, Seunghun; Main Vocalist and Dancer, Yonghee; Vocalist and Visual, Bae Jinyoung; Lead Vocalist, Center, and Face of the Gruoup, and Hyunsuk; Dancer, Lead Rapper Vocalist and Maknae(youngest.) They do not only do K-pop music as they also have J-pop singles, EP’s and a Full length album as well.

They performed in 9 major cities across the country. I was very excited when the group announced their American tour as I have been a fan of the group since debut and have been following them and supporting them since. The concert was about one hour and thirty minutes long. It started at 7PM and they ended around 8:30 PM. From beginning to end you were captured by the performance and their voice.

They also had other fan services as well that day. Before the concert, people who bought the VIP packages got to take pictures and hear the sound check which they performed songs they didn’t perform live. Additionally, they also had a fan sign after the concert for fans who participated in the fan sign event. I would suggest following them on twitter for information about these stuff. Obviously, all these perks were extra money. The Platinum package was around $200 and the fan sign was entered by buying an album and then getting randomly chosen by the company.

In the show they played their main title track hits like their debut single “Movie Star”, but also B’ sides from their various EP’s like “Black Out” and “What You Wanted.” I was happy that they were performing B sides because if you haven’t listened to a full CIX album or EP you are missing out! All of their songs are so good and each could be a title track. My personal favorite that was performed was REBEL. While also being the name of the tour, this has been a favorite since it’s release.

During the concert, they also had units stages. Seunghun and Yonghee had a unit stage where they sang. It was so much fun watching both of them perform so freely and happily. You could seriously feel the happiness radiating off of them. Bae Jinyoung and Hyunsuk had their unit stage where they sang for a bit, but their stage focused more on the dancing aspect. They performed very powerfully and had the crowd locked in. BX had a solo stage where he performed a song. By himself he filled up the stage with great charisma and really made the whole venue sing along and vibe with him. The stages really made the members a chance to shine on another level.

Additionally, It was also just great to be in a venue full of people who liked them as much or even more than I did. Just hearing everyone singalong to their music and scream for them made me so happy. Legit almost cried because woah, I finally got to see them perform live. Like seeing a video online and seeing it live in person; is two totally different experiences.

Overall, this was a great concert and hope one day everyone can watch perform them live. They put on a great performance and sound great live. I also made a YouTube video that has performance clips from the concert. Also I have a playlist of the songs that CIX performed in Chicago. What I did notice is that they try and switch up the set list on the shows as I thought they were gonna perform the same set list as the California show but they ended up playing a slight variation. I liked this as it kinda made each show a bit special as you might hear a song live others didn’t.
