With the warm weather approaching and having had bits of it already, it is a great time to get new items for your closet. Clothing is not the only important thing that makes an outfit. Accessories can be a key thing to make your outfit even better. And if we’re being honest it is what makes an outfit complete.
Accessories also adds a personal touch to what you are wearing. Everyone can be wearing blue jeans and a white shirt, but if you accessories with things you like, you are surely to stand out from the crowd and be unique. This is why I think that you can always pull off anything with the right accessories. So to help you, I took it upon myself to look among all the catwalks and collections for these coming spring and summer months of 2021. Here are popular accessories for Spring/ Summer 2021.
Bold Bags
For this season bold bags are in. Whether it be the material, the construction or the color, bold bags are trendy this season. This is a trend that I think many people could follow. Whether you are good at fashion or not, a bold bag is an easy cop out because rather than focusing on your outfit and how it looks, you’ll use the bag as a base of what to wear so it looks good together.
Moreover, if you want to have a bold bag, why not go all the way and have big bag. Across many runways like Givenchy and Jil Sanders; big bags were seen with the models.
This is a trend I recommend because big bags are awesome because you could basically fit your life in one (lol jk.) Regardless, a new bag for the season is great and going for something bold and even out of your comfort zone could help you in someway.
Bold Shoes
From the highest heels to no heels at all, all shoes are a go this summer as long as they stand out. You’re shoes will do the talking for you. This season, with the current global situation going on; gave a stage to the accessories to shine and shoes did not back down. Some trends that were seen were heels and from unconventionally tall to unconventional made. Heels made their stride down the cat walk with uniqueness that speaks for itself.
While for woman bold shoes you may think high heels, you can also get away with wearing lower heeled shoes like kitten heels. This was a trend that was seen through various houses like Prada and Valentino.
Now for men, this seasons bold fabrics and textures are in for the shoe department. Taking a classic mule and revamping it in a wrap style red velvet shoe or having a timeless leather boot with a unique cut out at the top. (Which could be useful when putting on lol.)
This season it’s time to step out of shoe comfort zone and try something new and different. I believe both genders could participate because bold shoe options are endless regardless if you follow theses trends from the runway, or you do something different.
Minimal Jewelry
No outfit is complete without jewelry. It puts the cherry on top. The piece of resistancé. Really ties your outfit together and makes the look you’re going for complete.
This season with other accessories taking center stage like the shoes and bags; across runways jewelry use was minimal to none for both men and woman. Guessing with all the attention that the other accessories bring, jewelry is a place to tone it down.
Very popular among both genders, runways were filled with small necklaces. Although small, it can really change your outfit and elevate it. I, personally, like small jewelry like this because it gives a very cool effortless look to your outfit.
This is also a great way for people who do not wear jewelry to start wearing jewelry. Since the piece is small you will not notice it or feel it and grow accustomed to it. Also popular was sunglasses but it’s spring and summer and that’s a no brainer.
Accessories help show off who you are, so don’t wear something that doesn’t feel like you. There’s always something for you. In these examples, I’m pretty sure I have something anyone can try out for themselves. You also don’t have to follow all of them, you can pick and choose to your liking which ones you want to follow.
