Sometimes there are nights you can’t sleep. I’ve been there. You want to go to sleep, but your mind and body are up and you just can’t fall asleep. This sucks because not only are you losing sleep, chances are you have something to do next morning so you’re on a be even more tired. Here are a list of things that I do to help me try and go to sleep.
Work Out
This is one that I know will probably put me to sleep the fastest. Tire your body out. This will not only get you a good work out for the day, you will be exhausted after and will probably go to sleep faster.
Yoga
This is an alternative to working out because sometimes you don’t wanna commit to sweating late at night. Even though this isn’t as intense of a work out as actually working out, you still do enough movement where you can become tired and sleepy. Listen to some meditation music while doing yoga. It will not only help with the yoga being a more slower pace, it will slow down your thinking as well.
Meditate
This is another one of my favorites. You can approach this two ways. One way set the mood listening to meditation music and that can help calm you down and slow you down to a place where you get tired and sleepy. The other way to approach this is mediate in silence. This can also be helpful because you have nothing else distracting you but yourself and your mind. Light some candles while doing any of these to have a nice aroma that’s calming. I usually light my stress relief candle.
Listen to Meditation Music
This is for if you really don’t wanna get out of bed and do any of the other above. Just listening to mediation music can help you fall asleep. I do this at times when I wake up like at 3-4 am and don’t wanna go through a long process and wanna go back to sleep quick. Like previously stated, it calms your mind and thoughts and slows your down. The music helps alleviate all your racing thoughts and just soothes you to a good halt. You don’t even end up noticing when you fall back to sleep.
Hopefully these tips can be helpful for you go to sleep. Sweet dreams!
