Benefits of Jojoba Oil

For the past couple of months I have started using jojoba oil as a moisturizer and I have loved it. It has made my skin look better and I’ve been recommending it to everyone. Ive always had acne prone skin and I feel like this has been a product that I’ve seen actually make changes in a short time of using it.

What is Jojoba Oil ?

According to Healthline, Jojoba Oil is derived from the jojoba seed which is extracted by being cold pressed. The oil has many nutrients like vitamin E and B as well as various antioxidants and minerals. Below, I will list 5 benefits on using jojoba oil, it can benefit more than just your skin!

Helps Prevent Acne

According to Michele Green, M.D., a New York City-based board-certified dermatologist and RealSelf.com contributor, “Jojoba Oil contains antimicrobial properties that can ward off certain types of bacteria, making it an excellent choice for acne-prone skin.” Starting off with this because everyone always wants to know if something will or will not help fight acne and yes, jojoba oil will help fight acne.

Balances Oily Skin

According to Ogee ,“Because Jojoba Oil is very similar to our own skin oils, its use can trick the skin into thinking it has produced enough oil and thus balance oil production, without promoting acne or other skin problems.” I can full heartedly back this claim up. I am not only oily but super sweaty as well and this has has helped control my oil and even sweat production and I’m so thankful.

Don’t let the adding oil to oily skin scare you!!! It scared me for a while and that’s why I didn’t use it. It will balance out your skin and only absorb in the areas that is needed.

Promoting a Healthy Glow

According to Ogee , “ Jojoba Oil immediately penetrates skin and smoothes easily, helping to promote healthy, glowing skin without clogging pores or leaving a greasy residue.” Less is more when using jojoba oil, a couple of drops is good enough for your face. Especially after doing a face mask like the Aztec Clay mask, your face will thank you for using such a great moisturizer and your face will feel soooo smooth next morning.

Aides with Signs of Aging

According to Prevention, “Jojoba oil is naturally rich in vitamin E, a potent antioxidant that helps the skin defend itself against free radicals that can cause premature aging and skin damage, says Dr. Schlessinger. It’s also rich in amino acids, which are the building blocks of collagen.” The benefits you will see will be reduced fine lines and wrinkles. As well as improvements in your skins texture, tone and elasticity.

I think taking steps towards fighting premature aging is always a good idea, especially in our current state of living. The anxiety and stress can take a toll on you and your appearance. Remember, your skin is an organ too, as much as you do to protect your heart, or lungs, do the same for your skin. (Not only talking about using jojoba oil but skin care in general lol)

Promotes Hair Growth

On the report of Good Housekeeping, “The high concentrations of B and E vitamins and minerals promote hair thickness and growth,” Dr. Chimento says. It also contains zinc and copper, which are essential to hair growth, making strands healthier and less likely to fall out.” This is another claim that I can say I have seen actively first hand. My facial hair has been growing faster and better without having in-grown’s like I usually do after shaving. Also have noticed that my eyelashes have gotten longer and have grown more throughout the top and bottom lids.

While there are many, many more reasons that jojoba oil benefits like helping with eczema, etc.; I decided to highlight these points because I feel like these are things that many people are constantly looking for. Instead of having various products you can have one that helps with multiple things. (Not solely of course lol) Adding this to your skin care routine will really boost your results and you will see the difference.

Hopefully someone found this helpful and tries it out. Let me know in the comments if you do! Also if you want to know what oil brand I use, I get it off of Amazon and it’s this one.
