Fashion Trends for Spring/ Summer 2019 for Men and Woman

To find out what would be the trends for the upcoming seasons, I focused on the 9 fashion houses in the market that are very popular. Those being Balenciaga, Balmain, Chanel, Commes de Garçon, Louis Vuitton, Versace, Off-White, Prada, Saint Laurent.

For Woman

This upcoming spring and summer you have two routes to approach being on top of the fashion trends. You can either be covered up by oversized clothing or go for sheer clothing.

Nearly all the fashion brands had a trend that oversized clothing. Ranging from shirts to jacket . And the runway shows how to wear and oversized shirt. Pair it with some tight fitting bottoms.

On the other side of the spectrum is the more sexier side of fashion. This can be especially seen in the Saint Laurent fashion show. As many of the pieces are very risqué. Sheer clothing is something seen in this show. This can also be seen in the Louis Vuitton, Prada and Off-white shows as well.

However, the commonality between all of these are the patterns and colors. Another trend that can be seen through out Versace, Prada, Louis Vuttion, Off-white, Balenciaga is that bright colors are in. So are brightly colored patterns. But if you don’t like that you can be more like Commes de Garçon, and Saint Laurent. They’re color scheme having more dark and neutral colors.

For Men

For men you have similar trends to those of their counterparts. Oversized clothing is popular as well. Another thing that is popular for men that I noticed throughout all the runways was one look of wearing all monochrome colors. This can be seen in the Versace and the Louis Vuitton Show.

Another look was again textured/patterned clothing. This was again seen throughout all the shows for the men as well.

Hopefully reading through these trends I found throughout these brands help you for the upcoming seasons. Not only is it an excuse to shop, it could also be a time to try something new and out of your comfort zone. Maybe try something sheer. Be fun, live a little. Or wear all bold patterns and stand out. It’s okay! Be fun, it’s fashion. That’s what it is all about.
